Every contact lens fit starts with mapping the surface of the cornea (the front structure of the eye) using a corneal topographer. This allows an accurate assessment of the curvature and shape of the cornea. Then the doctor will measure the correct prescription, evaluate the health of the cornea, and discuss contact lens options with you.
